Summary:
Kuro, lying on the ground after being hit by Luffy, gets up and is cheered on by his crew. Kuro charges at them and says he’ll kill everyone, even Jango, once he’s done. In the forest, Jango is trying to hypnotize Kaya when he is ambushed by Usopp’s pirates. Jango fights back, but the noise causes Zoro and Usopp to flee. Meanwhile, Kuro goes on about how his crew must die in order for his plan to be completed. Luffy punches and insults him again, causing Kuro to trigger a technique that makes him attack everything indiscriminately.
On the shore, Kuro is lying on his chest after Luffy broke one of his cat claws. Standing up, the Black Cat Pirates encourage Kuro to kill Luffy and call out his real name and not his fake name, which they remember telling them not to call him Kuro. Kuro tells them to shut up, he already plans to kill the crew, including Jango, once his plan is successful.
Back in the forest, Jango is having a hard time trying to hypnotize Kaya. He refuses to open his eyes. The Usopp pirates (minus Usopp) lay down and pretended to be asleep, already hypnotized themselves. When he refuses, he tries to force them open, the Usopp pirates then attack, throwing pepper in his eyes and kicking him in the groin. When Jango recovers, Kaya and the others have left. As Jango wanders through the forest looking for them, he is ambushed. Zoro and Usopp hear their voices in the forest and go to check the noise. Usopp’s pirates continue to attack Jango, who throws the Onion into a tree as he fights back.
Back on shore, Kuro explains that it would have been more realistic if several of the crew had died here, and that he initially planned not to let any of his crew live. In order to clear Kuro’s name, not only must his plan succeed, but his crew must also die so that no one is left to know that he is still alive. As Luffy talks about Kuro’s thoughts, Kuro returns to say more about his own crew’s opinions, saying that in a real pirate fleet, all members are pawns for the captain and should always follow orders no matter the sacrifice. Luffy claims that Kuro can’t beat Usopp even with the number of crew he has. Amused by the thought, Kuro asks why, to which Luffy replies that it’s the way Kuro thinks. After punching Kuro, Luffy then states that he doesn’t know what a real pirate is.
After Luffy’s intervention and remark, Kuro tells Luffy that he insulted him and tells him that he will show him what it is to be a pirate. Kuro takes a strange stance as the other Black Cat pirates panic at the sight. Everyone begs him not to use the move while a clueless Luffy watches them.
Aboard the Black Cat Pirates, Nami follows Nami with the crew’s treasure, wondering if the fight is over. Suddenly, the crew starts getting cut up, which Luffy can’t figure out how Kuro missed him so quickly. The crew says that Kuro won’t stop using this technique until he gets tired and there’s no point in trying to talk him out of it. Luffy is enraged at the sight of Kuro cutting up his own crew, much to Nami’s surprise.
