Summary:
Robin escapes the Orochi Oniwabanshu using a body double and reports his experience to Nami, Brook, and Shinobu. They return to Orochi’s banquet where Komurasaki is attracting a lot of attention. Orochi then talks about his paranoia about the return of Oden’s Nine Red Sheaths and the guests discreetly mock him and Toko laughs. Orochi attacks Toko, but is slapped by Komurasaki, who has no qualms about confronting him, and the banquet quickly descends into chaos.
At Orochi’s castle, Komurasaki dons a kitsune mask and begins playing her shamisen, much to the delight of Orochi and his banquet guests. One of them wonders why Komurasaki always wears a mask whenever she plays this song. In another room, Fukurokuju tells Robin to say her name, explaining that if she does, she will die a quick death and if she doesn’t, she will face torture. Robin claims to be “Ushimitsu Kozo” and has come to find out how money flows in the Flower Capital. Fukurokuju then tells Orochi Oniwabanshu to capture Robin and she is shurikened and tied up with ropes as one of the ninja says that Ushimitsu Kozo has already appeared in the capital earlier today. However, Robin then disintegrates and the real Robin hastily heads back to the banquet room, glad she used a doppelganger. The Oniwabanshu are stunned, but discover that her real body is nearby and quickly set out to find her. Robin reports to Nami, Brook, and Shinobu that there are 11 ninjas in the castle and that they have found it, surprising the first two. Fukurokuju tells the ninja to stay hidden and not disturb the banquet and they head off into the darkness.
Robin returns to the banquet hall and Orochi happily greets her and tells her to come talk to him. As they talk, Komurasaki pouted jealously and Orochi gushes over her, despite the other guests mentioning her infamous reputation. Seeing one of the Oniwabanshu prowling the ceiling, Robin moves his mask to cover himself before asking Orochi about the Onigashi, and is surprised to hear the question. As Komurasaki approaches the shogun, the people praise Kyoshiro for raising her, though he replies that she was not trained as a mere dog. They then notice that Kyoshiro has sent a flying six of the Beasts Pirates to avenge his yakuza group, and Orochi expresses his approval of using Kyoshiro’s excessive power, saying that it is best to teach lessons not only to enemies, but to ghosts as well. Orochi then tells everyone to listen and warns them that Oden’s wife Toki has prophesied that this year will be the year of revenge for the Kozuki family. He warns them that Oden’s Nine Red Sheaths, now led by Kin’emon, have risen and plan to take over Wan once more, and suspects that the attacks against Urashima and Jack in Kuri and the attack on Kyoshiro’s subordinates at the soba stand were orchestrated by Kin’emon.
As they speak, the guests whisper among themselves in disbelief, believing that the Nine Red Scabbards and almost everyone else associated with Oden are long dead. Kyoshiro says that Oden’s followers should come out now so they can be dealt with quickly, and Orochi agrees, saying that while Oden is definitely dead, his son Momonosuke’s body was never found, so he must still be alive somewhere. At this point, the banquet guests try not to laugh at the Shogun’s apparent delusion, but their mocking of his cowardice eventually causes Toko to laugh out loud. When the guests hear Toko, fear quickly sets in as Orochi becomes enraged and insulted by not taking his beliefs seriously. She draws her sword and rushes to Toko, and Komurasaki begs him to spare her, but he tells her to be quiet. Orochi swings his sword at Toko who dodges but is slapped by Komurasaki before he can attack again. The guests quickly tell the courtesan to bow apologetically, but she refuses to apologize for what she feels is right. She declares that as the daughter of a samurai, she would rather be struck down than live in subservience as Orochi’s wife, and Orochi berates a prostitute like her who stood up to someone like him when he used his Devil Fruit to transform into an eight-headed dragon. Robin then picks up Toko and runs away when one of the Oniwabanshu notices her, they run past Kyoshiro who grabs his sword and says it’s going to be a bloodbath.
