Summary:
Charlotte Katakuri taunts Luffy for failing to block a piercing blow to his side and repeatedly tries to spear Luffy again. He ends up hitting Luffy with a constant flurry of punches that crush the ground around Luffy. Katakuri expresses his disappointment and says that he is just beginning to appreciate Luffy’s skill. As Luffy lies on the ground, he remembers more of his training with Silvers Rayleigh and gets back to his feet.
During these attacks, Flampe and her subordinates continue to laugh at how Luffy keeps getting back up again and again despite taking more damage from Katakuri. Seeing Luffy get back up, she decides to try to shoot him again, only to see him dodge and then fall back to the ground. He bursts out laughing, catching Katakuri’s attention. Despite her subordinates trying to keep her quiet, Flampe continues to laugh and is stunned to see Katakuri begin to approach her. As Flampe dreams of how Katakuri will reward her for helping him in the fight, Katakuri silently reprimands her for her actions, noting that Luffy suddenly lost focus in the middle of the battle right before he was stabbed.
One of Flampe’s subordinates notices Luffy standing again and tries to warn her, but she doesn’t listen and flies towards Katakuri with outstretched arms. Angered by their laughter, Katakuri injures himself in the same spot as Luffy, some of his blood splashing onto Flampe’s face, shocking everyone present. She removes her scarf and angrily berates Flamp and her subordinates for interfering in the one-on-one fight, saying that if they’re laughing at Luffy, Katakuri should be laughing too. Flampe and the others don’t seem to hear him, they are only shocked and appalled by his twisted mouth. Flampe backs off, losing all respect for him and calling him a monster. As Katakuri leaves, he remembers his youth when the other children ran away from him and mocked his mouth. Flampe spits in Katakuri’s face and mocks him, ordering her subordinates to take pictures so she can reveal his deformity to all the inhabitants of Totto Land.
Katakuri returns to where Luffy is standing and apologizes for interfering with his sister. Luffy replies that there is no such thing as fairness in a pirate duel. They both agree that the onlookers watching them are being rowdy, and they both release a combined Haoshoku Haki blast, causing Flampe and her subordinates to pass out. Before passing out, Flampe expresses shock that Luffy can use it as well.
Katakuri discards his jacket and finally tells Luffy that he no longer sees him as an inferior warrior. The two prepare to square off again, with Luffy declaring that he will still win.
