Summary:
Pudding calls out to the citizens of Cocoa Island to clear the way as the basic wedding cake is brought out and everyone marvels at how it was made in such a short amount of time. They admire Pudding, Chiffon, and WCI 31 for being able to do this, and the chefs, who had their memories altered, wonder why Sanji is in disguise. When Pound sees Chiffon in the distance, Oven stops the carriage. Pudding tells him of her intention to take the cake to sea to minimize the destruction caused by Big Mom, and Oven lets her pass, but attacks Chiffon by slamming her into the ground. Despite Pudding and the citizens’ protests, Oven does not relent as Chiffon acquiesces to Bege’s attempt to assassinate Big Mom. However, Chiffon also refuses to give space, intending to continue paying off her debt to Nami and the Straw Hats. Sanji wants to help, but knows that the revelation will cause Pudding to be considered a traitor.
Trouba grabs Chiffon by the throat and heats his other fist with her Devil Fruit power, but before he can attack, Pound rushes in to protect his daughter. Chiffon and Sanji have no idea who it is, but Sanji seizes the opportunity and rushes towards the Oven without batting an eye. Too fast to see, Sanji kicks Owen in the neck just before Pound’s fist reaches him. The blow causes Oven to crash into a building and Sanji takes Chiffon back to the carriage at high speed. Owen gets up with a sore neck and a bruised face, and though he’s confused, Owen knows that his stepfather didn’t reach out to him as he quickly punched him. She then runs to the carriage and quickly finds Chiffon hiding under the blanket. He then receives a call informing him that Bege is heading to Cacao Island. Pleased with the news, Oven contacts Bege and tells him that he has captured Chiffon and orders him to disembark and surrender at the port. Chiffon yells at Bege to leave her there and run away so he can avenge her later, causing Oven to punch her, and Bege seemingly agrees to Oven’s ultimatum. Big Mom’s forces get into position to besiege Nostra Castello as they approach Cacao Island. As Bege approaches the port, he shoots Owen in the face with an explosive round. The oven is sent flying back and the Fire Tank Pirates celebrate as the Big Mom Pirates fleet goes on the attack. Despite being surrounded and Oven just pissed off about being shot, Bege is brimming with confidence.
Meanwhile, the Straw Hats on the Thousand Sunny see Big Mom’s powers as they approach Cocoa Island, and as they prepare to fight, Carrot wonders if there’s a full moon tonight. Elsewhere, numerous islands report seeing Luffy infiltrate Brûlée while Katakuri continues to wait in the Mirror World. While hiding inside the building, Brûlée wonders what Luffy is up to, and Luffy says that he can drain Katakuri’s Kenbunshoku Haki by prolonging the battle, but he also knows that it won’t do him any good. After remembering Rayleigh telling him that Haki becomes stronger fighting strong enemies, Luffy expresses interest in seeing the future as Katakuri before declaring that he will defeat Katakuri at full strength.
