Summary:
Nami and Enel board Maximus and he discovers the chaos on Angel Island caused by Conis. Nami asks Enel how the Mantra works and he explains it and how his Devil Fruit ability allows him to listen in on conversations by reading electrical signals. Enel announces his plans to destroy Skypiea and Nami shakes with fear. Enel goes quiet and reveals someone else but keeps it to himself.
Back on Angel Island, the White Berets shoot at Conis to try and stop her. He hits Captain McKinley in the face with his Waver, knocking him into the side of the building. He jumps off his Waver and it crashes into McKinley. Conis tries to get the nearby civilians to hear her, but they dismiss her as a criminal. The White Beret tries to attack Conis, but she pulls out her Burn Bazooka to stop him. Conis warns the civilians to go to Cloud End and evacuate to the Blue Sea, revealing Enel’s intention to destroy the country. He doesn’t believe her and the child throws a stone at her for speaking ill of their god, hitting her on the head and bleeding. Realizing what he has done, he apologizes and Conis drops the gun. As the White Berets pounce on her, she screams that she doesn’t accept Enel as a god.
Conis begins to tear up as she remembers her father’s sacrifice. The civilians flee, fearing that Conis will soon face divine punishment, but she kneels and sits in silence. Everyone is surprised when she is not defeated. She explains that one of the Divine Squad soldiers escaped from the Upper Yard to reveal Enel’s plans, and that both he and her father were punished for it. The civilians are upset and in disbelief, but Conis tells them they can’t wait for a miracle. He asserts his position that people must choose to save their own lives without relying on god.
Meanwhile, Luffy, Aisa and Pierre rush to the cave where Maxim is. Robin and the others regain consciousness but are badly injured. Enel stands on the edge of his ship, angry that his prophecy was wrong, and Luffy yells at Enel. He stands before Maxim to confront the bully and ask what he did to his crew. Enel asks him what piece of trash the pirate is talking about as they look like they are ready to fight.
