 Summary:

Chopper is chased around the castle by Luffy and Sanji, who want to eat him. Chopper escapes them and talks to Nami while Dr. Kureha chases after Luffy and Sanji. Their conversation is interrupted by Luffy and Sanji, who chase Chopper away. Kureha tells Nami about Chopper’s past and Dr. To Hiriluk. Chopper transforms into his Heavy Point and Luffy decides he wants Chopper to join his crew.
Luffy asks Dr. Kureha to join the Straw Hats, but she rejects his offer. When Chopper appears in Nami’s bedroom, he is immediately chased by Sanji and Luffy, who want to cook him, but are chased by Kureha, who doesn’t want to lose her assistant.
Chopper loses Luffy and Sanji and returns to Nami’s room to take care of her. Seeing that he’s interested in pirates, Nami asks him to join their crew, but Chopper refuses, saying that he’s a reindeer and can’t mess with humans. Their conversation is suddenly interrupted by the arrival of Luffy and Sanji, and Chopper quickly flees.
Kureha then enters the room. She overheard Nami and Chopper’s conversation and explained to Nami that she didn’t mind if Chopper went with them. However, it will be difficult to convince him (or gain his trust, for that matter) as Chopper has been horribly scarred his whole life, which Kureha claims even a doctor can’t fix. Dr. Kureha reveals that Chopper has always been alone, even more so since he ate the Hito Hito no Mi, rejected by both humans and reindeer. When Chopper was very young, his entire pack, even his own parents, shunned him because of his blue nose. When he ate Hito Hito no Mi, he became an even bigger outcast and chased him away. Realizing that he was able to assume human form, he attempted to socialize with the local people, which ended disastrously as they mistook him for a monster (despite his powers, he didn’t look entirely human, and his blue nose made him stand out). Only one man could speak to him: Dr. Hiriluk.
While hunting, Luffy and Sanji realize that the castle is full of snow due to the entrance being left open. As they are about to close the door, Chopper stops them by transforming into his heavy point. Sanji and Luffy realize the reason the door is open – the nest of baby birds is on top of the door – as well as the fact that Chopper is actually no ordinary reindeer.
