Summary:
Luffy, Zoro, Nami and Usopp prepare for the upcoming pirate attack to protect the village and identify the route the pirates would have to take to get to the island. At the mansion, during a discussion between Merry and Klahadore, Klahadore becomes impatient and reveals his true nature and attacks Merry. When morning comes, the Black Cat Pirates begin their attack on the island, where it is revealed that Usopp guessed the wrong way and they were actually attacking from the north. Panicking, Luffy, Usopp and Nami rush in the right direction while Zoro stays behind as Nami made him slide down the oil trap they set. Usopp arrives first and slingshots several pirates. On the other hand, Luffy is lost and Zoro is still trapped in the slippery oil.
Usopp, Nami, Zoro, and Luffy all agree to protect the village from Kuro and the black cat pirates. Usopp is scared and his knees are shaking, even though he says he isn’t. Usopp begins to make a plan, he asks Zoro, Luffy and Nami what they can do and they answer Slicing, Stretching and Stealing, Usopp adds that his skill is “hide”.
Inside the mansion, Klahadore and another of Kaya’s servants discuss Usopp’s actions for the day while Kaya sleeps soundly in her bed. The glasses that were supposed to be a gift for him, Klahadore finds on the morning of their 3rd anniversary, were made specifically for him so he wouldn’t have to keep pushing himself up. As the other servant continues talking, Klahadore suddenly starts speaking strangely. He looks at the crescent moon and says it makes him wild. Before his eyes, Klahadore breaks his glasses and glares devilishly at the other servant, who claims that his present will be the mansion. Klahadore says he doesn’t have to pretend anymore because there are only a few hours left. She pulls her cat claws from the bag she’s carrying and turns them on the servant.
Aboard the Black Cat Pirates, Jango wakes up from his slumber to be told in a few hours that they will have to go to work on the plan. Jango leaves his quarters and walks backwards out of his cabin. Back on the coast, Usopp and the others now laid the oil down the slope towards the village.
With morning breaks, everyone is ready for action. Both on shore and on a pirate ship. At the Klahadore mansion, he enters the room where Kaya is sleeping. Jango and the crew arrive at the coast leading to the village. There are no pirates where Usopp and the others are, suddenly Usopp remembers that there is more than one port along the coast and they are in the wrong place. As panic sets in, Usopp states that the layout is the same and the coast is only three minutes away from this one. Nami realizes that their ships are parked next to it. As Luffy rushes away, Nami tries to follow but her foot slips as she steps on the oil, as she slips she grabs Zoro and uses him to get off the oil. She leaves him behind and rushes to save her treasure. Zoro vows to kill her while everyone else rushes to the correct coast.
Usopp quickly gets there and shoots down some pirates. Zoro is still trapped on the hillside and Luffy is back in the village after going in the wrong direction.
