Summary:
While deciding how Luffy can pay back the damage done to his restaurant, things quickly turn violent when Luffy refuses the terms. Meanwhile, Baratie’s staff steps in on Sanji holding a bloodied Fullbody above the ground, and after Zeff and Luffy are knocked down, Fullbody is forced to leave. However, one of his men arrives in a panic and reports that the prisoner escaped before said prisoner arrived and demanded food from the staff. After being violently rejected, Sanji finds the starving man outside and offers him food despite the other chefs’ decisions, to which Luffy, after seeing this, declares that he will be his chef.
Luffy tries to work out a much shorter time to work in Baratie than Zeff suggests. But Zeff claims he caused the damage and now he has to fix it. When Luffy rudely states that he won’t accept, Zeff kicks him and offers a much faster way to settle the debt; have one of his legs cut off. Luffy once again refuses and curses at Zeff, causing the chef to kick him once more.
Meanwhile, Patty prepares to greet the customers, although in practice she means well, but she goes around the wrong way. To his horror, when they finally get to work, Sanji is holding a bloody Fullbody by the neck. The two throw insults at each other before breaking into a brawl. However, when Fullbody threatens to shut the place down, Sanji simply states that he cannot let the Marine live now. The other chefs grab Sanji to prevent the marine from being killed, at which point Zeff and Luffy break through the ceiling. The two get up and continue their argument, Zeff’s attention is drawn to Sanji while the other chefs plead for his behavior to stop. After stopping Sanji with a kick, Zeff kicks Fullbody, who says that these cooks are no better than pirates.
Just then, Fullbody’s attention is caught by one of his men who reports that a prisoner has escaped from the cell and Fullbody’s 7 men were unable to stop him. Fullbody denies this, stating that he was starving when they found him and had gone without food for the past 3 days. When the Marine asks for forgiveness, the prisoner appears and shoots the Marine to the ground with a single shot. He walks in and sits at the table with his feet up. Patty approaches the man and treats him with respect to the horror of the other customers. When Gin threatens to pay for the meal with bullets because he has no money, Patty punches the man and breaks one of Zeff’s chairs. Patty kicks the man who is about to, to the cheers of the customers, while Fullbody escapes.
A man is lying hungry in front of a restaurant, Sanji appears and gives him food. Sanji is happy at the man’s reaction, who comments that it’s the best meal he’s ever had. Luffy comments that he found his chef.
