Summary:
On the way down Reverse Mountain, the crew is eaten by a giant whale.
A loud roar echoes through the air as the crew heads downstream towards the Grand Line. Usopp announces that he can see a giant mountain in the way, but Nami dismisses it as they should have the open sea ahead of them. Suddenly, they discover that the giant mountain is actually a large whale. The crew concludes that the whale most likely doesn’t know they’re there because it looks like a wall and wouldn’t be able to see them with its eyes. They try to come up with ideas before attacking them, but to everyone’s dismay, Luffy’s method of stopping the ship with a cannon works, but the idea is to fire a cannonball at the whale. Going Merry’s character broke when he bumped into a whale. They wonder if it smelled the cannonball and call it “stupid” if not. But as the crew tries to get away from the whale, Luffy punches them in the eye for breaking “his special seat”, which angers the whale.
The whale catches sight of them with its eye and Luffy threatens it with a fight – resulting in the ship being swallowed. However, Luffy ends up on top of a whale and wonders how to free his crew. As the whale begins to sink into the water, he pounds on the whale’s head. Luffy notices a metal hatch on the surface of the whale just before it dives.
Inside the whale, the crew wonder if they’ve had a dream since there’s an island, and it appears they’re outside. As they approach the island, a giant octopus appears and is harpooned. Sanji and Zoro comment that a man must live here and hope he is friendly. Meanwhile, Luffy finds himself inside a tunnel inside a whale’s body.
