Summary:
Vivi explains how she infiltrated the Baroque Works and discovered that they planned to take control of her country. The Straw Hats promise to help her reach her island safely.
After getting rid of Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine, Zoro and Luffy return to their fight. However, they are quickly stopped by Nami, who doesn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to earn 1 billion bellies.
They all explain, but Vivi is unable to promise a reward to Nami. Her country, Arabasta, is on the brink of a civil war secretly unleashed by Baroque Works. To help her country, Princess Vivi infiltrated the Baroque Works with her advisor Igaram to understand the organization’s true motives. She learns that their ultimate plan for what they call the dreamland is actually to conquer Arabasta by throwing it into chaos. When Luffy asks Vivi who is pulling the strings, she accidentally reveals that Mr. 0 is Crocodile, one of the Seven Sea Warriors. Unfortunately for them, agents of the Wretched of Baroque Works overheard her leak and quickly put the three Straw Hats on their organization’s wanted list.
Now that they share the same enemy as Vivi, Igaram suggests a plan: he will go straight to Arabasta thanks to the Eternal Pose, while the Straw Hat will accompany Vivi on the standard route, which will be longer but safer. However, as soon as he sails away, Igarama’s ship explodes. Luffy doesn’t hesitate any further and says that he will help Vivi get to her country.
