Summary:
As Luffy tries to save his friends, he falls into Miss Goldenweek’s Color Trap. He can use the power of colors to influence people’s behavior and Luffy, because he is so simple-minded, is very easily influenced.
Meanwhile, Usopp and Karoo are being chased by Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine. They are hit by Mr. 5’s new weapon (he uses his breath to fire faster bullets), but Usopp is able to fire a Kaen Boshi to hit Luffy so he can get rid of Miss Goldenweek’s marks.
Vivi, Zoro and Nami are completely covered in wax.
Nami asks Luffy to free them from the candle, but Luffy seems unwilling to help, even though he is aware of the danger.
Meanwhile, Usopp and Karoo hide in the bushes and are suddenly found by Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine. They explain that Luffy is under a Color Trap spell where he can affect the victim’s behavior based on the colors he draws on them before attacking the duo. Usopp and Karoo try to escape while Vivi realizes that Luffy’s lethargic attitude must be caused by Miss Goldenweek, who explains her “color trap” ability.
Vivi then makes Luffy get out of the trap, which returns Luffy to normal. Unfortunately, he then falls into another of Miss Goldenweek’s traps as she smears it right on his shirt.
Nami, Zoro, and Vivi watch their impending doom in horror.
Meanwhile, Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine are still chasing Usopp and Karoo, who frees Luffy from his trap, but is once again unable to fight Miss Goldenweeks’ powers. As the fight between the two pairs continues, Mr. 5 realizes that he is not fast enough to catch Usopp and Karoo, while Usopp heads back to the candle to find his friends waxed. Mr. 5 reveals a new weapon: a .44 caliber revolver that can fire 6 bullets at once.
However, instead of helping himself, Usopp fires at Luffy, destroying his shirt and freeing him from the color trap once more. Usopp is immediately shot by Mr. 5. Luffy becomes enraged and declares that he will defeat them.
