Summary:
Usopp sees Dalton’s determination and volunteers to take him to the castle. However, Zoro interrupts and takes Dalton off his back because Usopp is too weak. The villagers inform them about the cable car to the castle and claim they can fix it in 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, at the castle, Luffy is holding the flag of Dr. Hiriluka and considers her unbreakable. Wapol shoots Luffy and the flag in frustration. When the smoke clears, Luffy is still holding the flag. Chopper stares in amazement. Sanji grows impatient and tries to attack Wapol, only to be stopped by Dr. Kureha. Chopper then launches a surprise attack on Wapol, only to be intercepted by Chessmarimo. Luffy drops to the ground and the REAL battle begins!
In his determination, Usopp tries to carry Dalton up to the castle, even though Dalton says he won’t be able to. Usopp declares that he can do it, and since Dalton wants to fight for his country, he won’t let him down. However, Zoro merely picks Dalton up and starts carrying him easily, much to Usopp’s annoyance. Usopp is frustrated that Zoro is stealing the glory, but the villagers say it will take them 30 minutes to attach the rope for the elevator up the mountain, which would be faster. One of the villagers states that there are no more ropes available, but another states that they found a white rope tied to a tree near Gyasta, which was near where Dr. He last visited Kureha.
At the top of the mountain, Wapol wonders about the true meaning of the pirate flag, stating that it is a silly decoration for pirates. Luffy insults him and says that the flag is not something you can underestimate. Wapol becomes angry and states that since he is the king he does not have to bow to the flag and moves to destroy the flag along with Luffy. Wapol fires a cannonball at the flag, but Luffy intervenes, saying that the flag is a symbol of faith and that it will never be broken. Chessmarimo is stunned and Luffy says that although he doesn’t know who the flag belongs to, it is a symbol of life that no one should mess with.
Luffy shouts that people like Wapol have no right to destroy the flag and laughs it off, causing Chopper to remember how Dr. Hiriluk described the pirates as great. Luffy tells Chopper that he is going to beat up Wapolo and his soldiers and asks Chopper what he is going to do. Wapol shouts that if they want to protect the flag, they will both die with it, prompting Sanji to rush towards Wapol. However, Dr. Kureha states that Sanji’s spine is dislocated and knocks him to the ground, preventing him from fighting. Wapol laughs and says that he will destroy them all, but he has to let Chessmarim block a blow from an enraged Chopper. Luffy tells Chopper to beat them up and hangs a flag on top of the tower while Sanji lies injured in the snow.
Back on Earth, Chessmarimo declares that Chopper will not be allowed to lay a finger on Wapolo, stating that Chopper is a strange creature that was rumored to be a snow monster. He goes on to say that Chopper has no friends and is still defending the kingdom, but Chopper says that as long as Hiriluk’s flag is there, he will still fight. Luffy then shoots down the mountain claiming to be Chopper’s friend and tells Chopper to take care of Chessmarim while Luffy fights Wapol. Chopper says he’s not confused anymore, while Dr. Kureha stops Sanji from getting up, saying that even she can’t stop Chopper if he’s serious. Meanwhile, Chopper says that he was given his name by the world’s greatest doctor and that while Hiriluk has forgiven them, he won’t let them go for laughing at Hiriluk’s death. Chessmarimo states that he will not forgive Chopper, who reveals a small black Rumble Ball.
