Summary:
His armor destroyed, Don Krieg pulls off his final trick by trapping Luffy in a net. He can’t swim, the rubber boy drowns. However, Luffy has not said his last word, not caring that he is about to fall into the sea, he sends a final attack at Don Krieg that knocks the pirate down.
Impressed by Luffy’s ability to never give up, Sanji jumps into the sea to save him. When they return to the surface, Don Krieg has woken up and his insane madman, but Gin, seeing his captain defeated, decides to end this fight himself and quickly knocks out the weak Krieg.
Luffy eventually destroys Don Krieg’s armor. Everyone is shocked, especially the Krieg Pirates who watched their captain lose. Even though Krieg has still lost his spirit, he attacks Luffy in the air by shooting an iron web at him. Luffy gets stuck in the air above the ocean. Luffy realizes that he will sink due to his Devil Fruit weakness. Krieg grinned happily as he realized his last second revenge could become a reality. However, Luffy extends his arms and legs to attack Krieg. To anticipate this, Krieg asks his crew to shoot at Luffy.
Elsewhere, Sanji is confused as to why Luffy won’t back down. Zeff says he can’t look down after this battle. Sanji then attacks Krieg’s pirates who were aiming arrows at Luffy. Luffy is able to successfully use his final technique “Gomu Gomu no Tsuchi”. It connects with Krieg’s head and Krieg falls unconscious. However, Luffy falls to his certain death in the ocean because he can’t swim.
Zeff explains to Sanji why he won. He explains that Luffy has courage, a “harpoon”, and is not afraid to die. Zeff then suggests that Sanji save him since he can’t swim. Sanji can hardly believe that the old man waited this long to inform him of Luffy’s inability to swim and quickly dives after him.
Gin can’t believe his captain lost. Unfortunately, Krieg is still able to stand up and is acting strangely. At the same time, Gin goes aboard the Baratia to end the battle. He punches Krieg in the stomach to knock him out. He decides to retreat with the Don Krieg Pirates and start over.
