Summary:
Ark Maxim’s first flight began, his name was Deathpiea, the savior of the world in the midst of hopelessness according to Enel’s description. Aisa and Pierre tried to board Maximus, but the ark stopped midway. Something is happening inside the ark and a great smoke begins to billow above it. Nami wondered what that was and Enel laughs.
Shandia noticed the black smoke and felt disturbed. Enel said that it was a storm cloud produced by the ark that could store a strong electric current using its energy and it would be able to emit thunder ten times stronger than Enel’s power and soon it would cover all of Skypiea, then he would demonstrate how it works. Thunder from the cloud strikes Angel Island while the citizens witness it. Enel continues to laugh and attacked Luffy with his trident. Luffy dodged it by spinning in the air and swinging his leg towards Enel and blocked Luffy’s attack with his hand, but Luffy landed his foot on the hot trident, burning his leg. Enel hits Luffy with his hot trident again, forcing Luffy to defend it with his hand, causing Luffy to burn his hand. Luffy still couldn’t fight Enel because of his mantra and come up with “gomu gomu baka” and turned into a mute person. Surprisingly, it really affects Enel and it couldn’t hit him. Luffy uses the “gomu gomu octopus” and Enel said that Luffy tries hard to overcome the mantra because that’s how he controls his opponents. Luffy came up with another idea then threw himself onto the throne and started punching and kicking the wall causing his punches and kicks to randomly deflect backwards and hit Enel. He tried to attack Luffy a second time, but failed again and threw away after receiving Luffy’s attack. Enel stands up and fails to dodge Luffy’s incoming “gomu gomu no bazooka” and finishes it off with a “gomu gomu no rifle”.
