Summary:
Usopp screams in horror as he free falls from the Ark Maxim, Sanji’s unconscious body in tow. They land on a layer of clouds, not too far from Nami’s place. He sees them land and calls out to his crewmates. Although Usopp lands upside down and buried in the clouds, he is pleased to know that Nami is okay when he hears her voice. Ignoring Usopp’s own predicament, she sees Sanji’s unconscious body and apologizes for all the trouble she caused them. Nami pointed to a giant beanstalk in their area and deduced that it must be in the clouds above Shandora. He points out that Zoro is still in ruins. Convinced that there is no safe place on Skypiea anymore, she urges Usopp to board her hesitation so they can find the rest of the crew.
Aboard the Ark Maxim, several systems begin to crack thanks to Sanji’s sabotage. Enel curses the pirates for their interference, but quickly finds solace in the ship’s numerous backup systems. In particular, he notices a set of defunct jet numbers from his hometown of Birka, stating that they should be more than enough to keep the ship in the air. He also begins to power the ship using his own electrical abilities.
Elsewhere in the Upper Yard, Aisa carries an unconscious Pierre while trying to point Luffy in Enel’s direction. With the large golden ball still spilled on his arm, Luffy decides to move forward by rolling on the ball, much to Aisa’s annoyance. They also head to the beanstalk as Aisa keeps reminding Luffy that she breaks things. When they arrive on Shandor, they are shocked to see that Robin, Zoro, Chopper and Wyper are no longer there. Aisa concludes that they found a way to climb up, much to Luffy’s surprise. Aisa then tearfully asks Luffy if Sky Island will be destroyed. Robin notices Maximus flying overhead, now fully convinced that Enel will be heading for the Golden Bell Tower. Just as she becomes interested in the crew’s whereabouts, Luffy throws Aisa and Pierre down to her. He catches them using his Devil Fruit ability, much to Aisa’s shock. Robin tries to ask about the orb of gold on Luffy’s arm, but Luffy instead asks Robin to confirm that Enel is heading for the golden bell. Once he does, Luffy frantically climbs the beanstalk and chases after Enel. Robin turns his attention to Aisa and asks about the location of the rest of the Straw Hats. Just as Aisa begins to notice that Nami may no longer be on Maximus, Nami arrives with the unconscious bodies of Usopp and Sanji. Nami questions Aisa about Luffy’s whereabouts while Usopp notices the unconscious bodies of Zoro, Chopper, Wyper, and Gan Fall. As Usopp points out that they need to leave quickly, Nami suggests that the rest of the Straw Hats get into the Going Merry while she pursues Luffy.
On Angel Island, the White Berets continue to frantically evacuate citizens. They ran out of ships and now have to use dial boats. Realizing that the dial boats may not have enough capacity for everyone, the captain stresses that no matter what, he has to get everyone to safety. Back aboard the Maxim, Enel notes that he has finally commissioned the ship. The Shandian Chieftain continues to get his own people to safety after being reminded that Aisa and Wyper are still away from the village. On board the Merry Conis notes that the wind has died down. Suddenly, lightning strikes the tree, causing it to topple over in flames. This is followed by several strikes at various locations as lightning starts raining down on the island.
