 Summary:

Everyone present in Skypiea looks up at the sky in complete shock as Luffy completely deflects Enel’s “Raigo” attack that was meant to destroy the entire country. Many citizens question how exactly this could have happened as Usopp praises his captain. Among the ruins of Giant Jack’s Shandora, Wyper also looks on in shock before calling out to Luffy to rekindle the Light of Shandora. Gan Fall agrees and pleads for Luffy to let everyone hear the “island song” again.
Aboard the Maxim, Enel is annoyed that Luffy easily performed his strongest attack yet and also regained his position. Luffy says that this time he will be the one to take down Enel. Enel, enraged that Luffy once again thwarted his plans, transforms into his final state, the 200 million volt Amaru. Enel asks if Luffy is trying to ring the bell because of the legend of its sound signaling the end of the war, then admonishes him for believing such nonsense. He once again flaunts his power as a god and shocks Luffy in his new form. However, Luffy simply shrugs it off and reminds Enel that electricity is useless against him as he quickly kicks him in the face. However, Luffy stops abruptly as Enel reminds him that he has another weapon: he stabbed Luffy in the back with his trident. Nami calls out for her captain as Luffy is plagued by the heat of the trident. Enel mocks Luffy for his predicament as it is Luffy’s twisted arm that is actually pushing the trident deeper into him. Enel says the only way to escape is to fall all the way back down as he praises Luffy for getting to him again. Luffy briefly reflects on Conis’ tears over the responsibility being forced on the citizens of Skypiea, just as Aisa tearfully asks him if Sky Island is really going to disappear. He uncoils himself from the trident, prompting Enel to once again taunt him for choosing to succumb to his doom. Nami calls out to him as he descends. Luffy assures his navigator that he is coming back up, however, when he breaks his fall by grabbing onto the edge of the cloud. Enel is stunned and Luffy promises the god that he is going down. Luffy jumps back into the air and twists the outstretched arm with the golden orb on it again. As soon as he reaches the Enel level again, he calls out to the god that stop what stop will ring. Enel now took out a second trident and promised to pierce Luffy’s heart this time. Luffy begins to let his arm relax and fires the “Gomu Gomu no Ogon Rifle” at Enel with unprecedented speed. Enel smashes him in the face before he can even react and immediately breaks some of his teeth. His body is then thrown violently backwards from the momentum of the blow.
A series of flashbacks begin across Skypiea as Enel flies backwards. As Wyper looks on, he remembers Kalgara’s promise to Noland to ring the bell to let him know his people are there waiting for him. Aisa and the Shandian Chief remember the beginning of the Shandian campaign in the Upper Yard to reclaim the land. Nola, despite being badly injured, remembers her sadness when Noland and Kalgara were no longer there to ring the bell. Conis remembers Gan Fall’s optimism that the island’s song will eventually play once more, as she and the other Skypieans look to the sky in prayer. Usopp enthusiastically cheers for Luffy, even as the rest of the Straw Hats tell him to keep it down as Chopper, Pierre, and Zoro recover from their injuries. Luffy himself remembers Mont Blanc Cricket’s love of adventure and how he was adamant that no one could ever prove that Sky Island and the “City of Gold” did not exist. When Luffy finally slams Enel’s body into the Golden Bell, he wonders if Cricket can hear it and realizes that the Golden City has been here in the sky for the past 400 years.
