Summary:
As Hancock’s ship returns to the Amazon Lily, the gates open and the Pirate Empress is welcomed back. The loot obtained is inventoried and sorted while Ran delivers the newspaper to Elder Nyon at her request. Hancock inspects a clay statue of himself in the palace and breaks it, finding it ugly. Hancock calls Enishida and asks where the guards went, to which she explains that a dangerous “monkey” was spotted and they went to remove it. As Hancock prepares to rest, the elder Nyon appears before her.
Knowing that the World Government sent a ship to call for her, Nyon asks her to hear their call. Hancock tries to play cute, but Nyon insists that she go keep the island safe since she lost the quiet belt as protection from the government and their only current defense is her status as a sea warrior. Hancock tells her that the elderly and children will die if the Kuja Pirates are arrested, and writes Nyon off as scared, though she denies it. When orders are given for her to be thrown out, Hancock refers to her as a former ex-empress who has betrayed them and personally throws her out of the palace.
The large bell on the island then rings, signaling that Hancock’s bath time has begun. The palace is evacuated and the streets are filled with everyone from inside as entry inside is not allowed. The young girl asks Ran why no one is allowed in when Hancock is bathing, to which Ran explains that Hancock and her two sisters once defeated a gorgon, but as a result were cursed, so anyone who looked at their backs would turned to stone. . For everyone’s safety, the gorgon was beaten, but Hancock took the curse for it, for which the young girl praised her.
Meanwhile, the guards continue to chase Luffy through the forest, but the young pirate makes it outside and up to the walls. While searching for the ship, Luffy decides to ask an important person for it, and thinking that important people would live in a large building, he decides to enter the palace. Landing on the roof, Luffy accidentally crashes through and lands in the water. At first he believed he was drowning, and when he noticed it was shallow, he simply stood up and realized he was in a spa. A completely naked Hancock notices and realizes it’s a man. Seeing Hancock from behind, Luffy admits that he sees something on her back, which makes her very angry.
