Summary:
The Marines loudly shout the presence of the Red Haired Pirates as they wonder how Shanks could have arrived at Marineford so quickly after fighting Kaida the day before. Shanks then calls Buggy to give Luffy his straw hat and convinces him to give the treasure map to his former crewmate in return. Buggy quickly complies and heads to Trafalgar Law's submarine to hand Law a straw hat. Lucky Roux then asks Shanks if he's sure he doesn't want to see Luffy again since it's been ten years since they last met, while footage of Shanks giving Luffy his straw hat is shown. Shanks replies that he would like to see Luffy again, but seeing him now would break their promise.
Akainu curses Shanks before Aokiji tries to freeze the sub in the Ice Age and Kizaru decides to attack with Yasakani no Magatama. The submarine attempts to dive to escape the ice and light attacks. Kizaru then discourages the other admirals from continuing their attacks against the Heart Pirates, Luffy, and Jinbe for the time being. Meanwhile, Boa Hancock senses that they are still alive and forces an order for a naval ship to chase the submarine, covering it up by saying "the Straw Hat must be destroyed at all costs". Buggy yells at Shanks for lying about the treasure map, Shanks replies that it was an impulse. Buggy's followers comically admire his attitude towards Shanks and once again swear their allegiance to him. Buggy then thinks that if he stays with the Red Hair Pirates, he will be able to get off the island safely.
Shanks orders Mark to stand down to stop encouraging the battle. While this is happening, Dracule Mihawk leaves and tells the Marines that he didn't agree to fight Shanks, only Whitebeard. Shanks then threatens the Marines that if there are any others who want to fight, then he and his crew will take care of them. At Blackbeard's question, the ex-warrior quickly decides to postpone their battle, satisfied that he's already gotten what he wanted, and shortly leaves.
Shanks tells the remaining Whitebeard pirates and marines to save face for him. The Whitebeard Pirates mourn the loss of Ace and Whitebeard. The Marines, the Pacifists and the Seven Sea Warriors stop in their tracks. Shanks then tells the Marines that the Whitebeard Pirates and their allies will be mourning because he doesn't want their deaths to be exploited for the world to broadcast. Sengoku quietly decides to accept Shanks' resolve and takes responsibility for the marines' actions, followed by an apology from Shanks. Sengoku orders his subordinates to tend to the wounded and declares an end to the "Marineford Summit War", the largest war since the Great Age of Pirates.
