Summary:
After leaving Cacao Island, the Sanji Retrieval Team continues to Whole Cake Island following the route Pudding gave them. Luffy worries about the missing Pekoms, but Pedro assures him that Pekoms is tough and finding him would be very difficult. Nami examines the map Pudding gave them, looking for the best way to get there without being noticed by the enemy. Pedro calls from the crow’s nest and says he spotted the island. Carrot and Chopper are excited to dock on an island that Nami assumes is made of jam. However, she tells them that they will not dock. Nami plans the next direction they’ll take, and Luffy gets too directed by it, much to her chagrin. Nami says that if they follow the route the map lays out for them, they can avoid being tracked. He then leaves the navigation to Brook as he goes to prepare food and forbids Luffy from going into the kitchen again. Carrot hops over to the crow’s nest and asks if he can help out as a lookout. They see that part of the distant ocean is grape-colored, and Pedro reveals that some of the islands have rivers of sap that flow into the oceans. Nami asks him how he knows so much about Totto Land, and Pedro reveals that he’s been there once. Suddenly, the crew is confronted by a giant sea centipede and prepares to fight it.
On Whole Cake Island, the citizens have heard that Big Mom’s illness has reared its head again, and this time they’re craving croquembouche. Tamago says that the croquembouche tourists were staying on the island, but the woman reveals that they have already checked out. The people of Totto Land quickly work together to make Big Mom some croquembouche, hearing that Big Mom is headed for the capital, Sweet City, leaving a path of destruction in her wake. The anthropomorphic sun tries to stop her, but is thrown into the ground when she enters Sweet City. Big Mom starts eating anything around her while the citizens evacuate in panic. In search of a croquembouche, she devours any anthropomorphic object in her path. Charlotte Moscato, Minister of Gelato and Big Mom’s 16th son, tries to reassure her mother and promises that they will have the croquembouche ready soon. However, Big Mom attacks Muscat and only sees him as an edible obstacle. Muscat tries to escape from his deranged mother, but she loses 40 years of his life and renders him unconscious.
The shocked citizens continue to evacuate, and Jinbe suddenly appears from the Juice River with a bunch of anthropomorphic croquembouche tourists. She pops the croquembouche into Big Moms mouth and fills her up immediately. Croquembouche are happy to eat them if they find them tasty. Big Mom greets Jinbe and thanks him for the poneglyph he gave her, and asks if the unusually sweet atmosphere on the island is because of him. Jinbe denies it and says he just arrived. He then says he has something important to discuss with Big Mom, who then gets angry wondering if he intends to leave her crew.
