Summary:
The Nine Red Scabbards manage to pierce their weapons through Kaidou’s skin with their Ryuo, and all-out war breaks out in the House of Skulls as the forces of the Ninja-Pirate-Nink-Samurai Alliance mobilize. As Luffy confronts Big Mom, Kaidou emerges from the attack with minor injuries and flies to the roof of the dome in his dragon form. The pods follow him and meet him in the light of the full moon. The powers of the Mink tribe then join the sheaths and they, along with Inuarashi and Nekomamushi, begin to activate their Sulong forms.
As Kaidou is forced off the stage by the Nine Red Scabbards, he remembers that Kozuki Oden gave him his lone scar 20 years ago, and then remembers Oden’s execution when the samurai allowed his captives to escape, warning Kaido not to underestimate Wan’s samurai. Kin’emon manages to plunge his sword into Kaidou’s body and the other Scabbards are able to quickly follow. The scar that Kaidou received from Oden begins to pulsate and the Emperor screams in pain as he realizes that the Sheaths are using Oden’s Ryuo.
After a long fall, the Scabbard and Kaidou crash into the ground, leaving a large crater. The Beasts Pirates nearby quickly charge in, but Hyogoro’s forces stand in their way as they put away their pirate disguises. While Big Mom watches the incident, Yamato goes to the scene with Luffy to help finish off Kaido. However, Ulti finds Yamato again and attacks with a spiked club, which Yamato deflects when he has a kanabo. Ulti says that she will get revenge for Yamato’s attack against her and wonders why Yamato would do such a thing; Yamato replies that this is the day he will fully become Kozuki Oden, which only confuses Ulti. The Pirate Beasts then call Yamato to inform him of the attack on Kaidou, but Yamato bluntly states that they are no longer allies and Kaidou’s death will be of no concern.
Big Mom then runs up to Luffy, and when she does, Nami and Carrot quickly take the opportunity to use Clima-Tact and Electro to free themselves from their friends restraining them. Luffy isn’t pleased to see Big Mom since he’s busy and says she only came here to kill him. Meanwhile, Kaido emerges from the floor with several stab wounds, but none the worse for wear. He notes that Orochi’s paranoid visions eventually came true, with the Scabbards able to operate in the shadow of the Straw Pirates. He says that the pirates will betray them and that the forces the samurai have been trying to gather will abandon them once it is clear they will lose, Luffy having already lost to him once. However, Kin’emon dismisses Kaidou’s words as slander and says that Luffy will one day stand on top of the seas and no matter what happens, he will stay and achieve the promise of the dawn and return to Wan.
Back on the floor, Big Mom asks Luffy why he came here as he is in disbelief intending to take on Kaidou. To the surprise of his allies, Luffy denies this, but instead says that he came here to defeat all his enemies in an all-out war. Big Mom and the Queen quickly laugh it off, but the Queen is then alerted to thousands of samurai invading through the back entrance. These forces include the prisoners of Rasetsu Town, the prisoners of Udon, the Heart Pirates, and even Marco and Perospero, who approach the entrance. The Queen orders all the Beasts pirates to take up their weapons and declares that the party is over. Kaidou then shouts from behind the stage saying that he accepts Luffy’s challenge. He continues to fly to the roof of the Skull Dome in his dragon form, and as the Sheaths hold on to his body to follow him, Luffy tells Kin’emon that he will catch up with them later. Kaidou confronts the Scabbards on the roof of the Dome, saying that he has sobered up and that a battle in the open is best, as was their last one, though now Oden is dead. However, Nekomamushi replies that there is one more difference between that day and now, since they brought the mink tribe’s forces with them since they were expecting Kaida with the intention of fighting outside. Nekomamushi then gazes at the full moon and begins to activate Sulong.
