Summary:
As Stussy informs Sentomaru of the World Government’s target of Egghead’s actions as he calls for an evacuation, the straw pirates continue their battles against the Seraphim, during which S-Hawk disappears, forcing Zoro and Kaku to chase after him. As it is revealed that the “Egghead Incident” originally began three months ago when information about Vegapunk’s secret activities was leaked; York was revealed to be a traitor in her quest to become the only vegapunk and world noble.
Stussy informs Sentomaru that Admiral Kizaru is on his way to Egghead and that CP0 was supposed to await his arrival after eliminating Dr. Vegapunka and its satellites. Sentomaru comments on how serious the world government is while Stussy tells him that this event may be even bigger than the destruction of Ohara, the main reason being that Vegapunk has continued to study Ohara’s research and that Egghead has the firepower to repel the attack, which Ohara he couldn’t Before hanging up, Stussy tells Sentomaru to call her if anything unexpected happens, as all communication has been cut off in the Labophase. After hanging up, Sentomaru tells the islanders that they can’t hesitate and they all have to flee the island before the marines arrive, which they all do.
In Building C, Franky (who is only partially petrified) demands that S-Snake undo the petrification she did to him, Lilith, and Usopp, claiming that he can still fight the non-petrified part of them. However, S-Snake ignores him and turns to Pythagoras. He demands to know who ordered S-Snake to do this, but all he does is stomp and crush him, resulting in a huge explosion. As she starts to leave, Franky tries to call her again. On the second floor of Building A, Chopper, Robin and Atlas are flying around looking for Vegapunk. Robin figured that the Seraphim were on a rampage and the others might be fighting them, meaning these people couldn’t be moving from anywhere. Atlas says he may have an idea where Stella is and the two follow her. On the third floor, Nami tries to help Edison while Brook decides to go find Vegapunk while Sanji continues his fight with S-Shark.
On the fourth floor, Zoro realizes that S-Bear and S-Hawk’s flames are not going out, but Luffy notices that S-Hawk has left the room. Lucci says that S-Hawk decided to prioritize killing the weaker crew members and save the more difficult ones for later, thinking they would be too shaken to fight effectively. Zoro immediately runs after S-Hawk and Luffy tells Kaku (whom he comically calls “Usopp”, much to Kaku’s annoyance) to go with him as he can easily get lost. Luffy continues to fight S-Bear, but Lucci tells him that he is not an enemy he can defeat with brute force. Meanwhile, Bonney is still looking through her father’s memories, and what she sees brings her to her knees and she starts to cry profusely.
About three months ago, someone contacted the Five Elders and told them that Dr. Vegapunk explores the contents of the Void Century. CP5 was sent to investigate, but they found no evidence, yet the ship that left with them suddenly disappeared. CP7 and CP8 were sent to investigate, but also disappeared. Afterwards, the mysterious person contacted the Five Elders again and they finally believed that Vegapunk had betrayed the World Government. CP0 decided to assassinate him and was sent to handle the situation, and one of the elders decided to go personally as they expected Vegapunk to retaliate. Reinforcements were requested from the various naval branches, which meant that war was on the horizon. However, the presence of the straw pirates made the entire organization uneasy. In any case, the outcome of these particular events would shake the entire world.
Down in the hidden lab, the person who shot Shaka enters the lab as Vegapunk demands answers. That person turns out to be York, who tells Vegapunk the wrong way that he wants to become the world’s nobility. Vegapunk angrily asks why she would want to be like that when she’s been with Mary Geois in the past and seen how awful they are, but York just laughs and says that he sounds like Shaka, even though he thinks he’s dead now. York then tells Vegapunk that she thinks it’s too confusing that there are so many people calling themselves Vegapunk and that the world will be better with just one, her.
